 Nelson Mandela Exit, is part of a series- a multiple video journey in back of taxies on route to Nelson Mandela Road in Tehran, coinciding with mass riots nationwide (January 2018). The language and enunciations, the background sounds and songs are exclusively intelligible to an Iran-based audience, however, the shift from sound to text (subtitles) to deem it accessible to an international audience allows for manipulation of content, a political tool competent to deliver a subjective narrative. The visual component correlating with selective sounds resonates an ineffective dialogue, one that conceals the authenticity of source.
